Rama Rama Hare Hare

Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting the Hare Krishna baby blanket! Yes, you too can set your little one on the path of enlightenment simply by wrapping him in this crocheted blankie. Before you know it, your offspring will be clangin' cymbals, bangin' drums and making plans to move to India. Don't you feel your consciousness raising simply by looking at this work of art? Here, take a closer look.

Are you at one with universe yet? Maybe you're not trying hard enough. Well it's a dang good thing then that today's Sock Yarn Of The Day will afford you the materials needed to make a pair of Hare Krishna Socks!

This yarn has been blessed by Krishna himself! No? Pfft, I never get to have any fun around here. OK, well how about Carol at Black Bunny Fibers? This is 400 yards of 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon in the colorway "Bittersweet."

Ooh. I love the blanket -- both the stitch pattern and the warm color. And the sock yarn is warm and yummy too. I am not usually into orange, but lately it's seemed oddly soothing.

Pretty sock yarn. I don't think those bald dudes wear socks with their togas.
Give the kitty scritches on that delightfully fluffy tummy!
